ResponsibilitiesDesigns and develops data warehouse, data analysis and reporting solutions using SQL Server database. Works with data visualization developers to determine solutions that help drive business value. Develops database objects, functions and structures for data storage, retrieval, and reporting. Designs and develops Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solutions to populate the data warehouse. Develops automated and reusable routines for extracting requested information from database systems and/or enterprise management system. Defines, develops, tests, analyzes, and maintains software applications and back-end interfaces (if applicable) in support of business objectives. Builds analytic prototypes based on initial business requirements. Designs, runs, and monitors performance tests on new and existing systems for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement and general debugging. Writes programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary. Promotes strong quality practices by performing unit testing and providing appropriate level of support for user acceptance testing, as needed. Acts as a support resource for the technical support staff to ensure that customer-reported issues are being addressed in an efficient and accurate manner. Serves as a liaison with database administrators, developers, and vendors (if needed) to assist in resolving problems with systems. Maintains and tests the data warehouse in compliance with the company's disaster recovery plan. Conducts research on emerging software development solutions and standards in support of business needs. Collaborates with business leaders to design solutions. QualificationsMinimum 2-3 years of Azure experience Total 7+ years of experience with 5-7 years’ as a Data Engineer in large enterprise environmentProficient with Azure Synapse orchestration and transformation tools and Azure Data Factory (Data Cloud)Very good experience with any of the ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Pentaho and DevOps experience for source control and CI/CD deployments Should possess strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehousing processes Should possess analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills – experience in analyzing and understanding business/technology system architectures, databases, and client applications. Ability to work with business and technology users to define and gather reporting and analytics requirements.Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
