The role of the Sr. Accounting Analyst is managed and controlled the day-to-day accounting activities and routines in accordance with the organization and regulator's accounting policies and procedures.
This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including:
- daily and monthly reconciliation, including balance sheet substantiation;- financial and regulatory reporting;- mid and year end external audit process.
The Sr. Accounting Analyst works very closely with professionals in the Taxes, Accounts Payable and Operations Departments providing support in accounting parameterization into legacy systems.

What you will be responsible for
- Manage day to day accounting activities and routines in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization and others regulatory agencies;- Responsible to monitor various accounting and activities to ensure that the financial resources of the organization are managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all regulations, relevant laws and standards;- Elaboration and submission of financial information to the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) and other legal authorities (i.e.
Balance sheet - Cadoc's, Basel III - DLO & DLI, Operating Limits, EBI, RDE, SPED Accounting etc);- Verification and daily reconciliation of the Nostro Accounts (i.e.
Reserve Account) and the products of Legacy Systems;- Control of Pre-paid expenses such as insurance expenses, annual maintenance contracts etc;- Ensure accuracy in the preparation of the financial statements and submission to the external audit;- Provide monthly reconciliation and accounting analysis of global Finance System;- Investigate and resolve problems associated with accounting mismatches between local GL and global GL;- Maintaining the chart of accounts, providing support to Boston Finance to map Oracle GL and support operational areas in accounting parameterization of legacy systems;
Education & Preferred Qualifications- 4-5 years of experience in the accounting department at financial institution;- Intermediate English language;- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills;- Ability to develop business relationships within the organization;- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;- Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented;- Strong problem resolution and analytical skills;- Ability to follow up on pending issues;- Ability to meet deadlines.
