Alcoa is seeking a Senior Geologist to join our team at the Juruti – PA unit. This role is crucial for enhancing the team's capacity to meet the new demands of the exploration program within the new Mineral Resources strategy. This position will lead geological studies, bring expertise, and optimize processes and data analysis to ensure the technical quality of the data and compliance with international technical and regulatory standards. This talent will contribute to ensuring the reliability of geological data through planning and monitoring geological mapping and long-term drilling; the quality and safety of mineral research processes through continuous improvements, best practices, and adherence to protocols and procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop geological research plans for bauxite plateaus to assess mineral resources; responsible for executing and detailing the long-term drilling program and preparing annual activity reports (RIAA);
* Provide technical support for the description and sampling of drilling cores; manage long-term drilling campaigns; use geoprocessing tools (Google Earth, ArcGIS, GlobalMapper) for drilling planning, field operations control, geomorphological characterization, and creating contour maps through Digital Elevation Models (DEM) for plateau edge delimitation, georeferencing, and data vectorization;
* Responsible for action plans regarding legal requirements and addressing technical demands from inspections, audits, etc.; and drafting and reviewing operational procedures according to EHS standards;
* Plan and lead geological mapping, drilling, and modeling of mineral deposits;
* Ensure the technical quality of information for the subsequent evaluation of mineral resources and reserves;
* Prepare technical reports and geological studies, ensuring compliance with regulatory norms and international standards;
* Support project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams while promoting innovations and best practices in the application of geological technologies and methods;
What You Can Offer:
* Education: Degree in Geology;
* Consolidated experience in mineral exploration, mineral resource assessment, and mineral research for bauxite;
* Knowledge of specialized software, such as Leapfrog, Datamine, or similar;
* Ability to lead teams and manage field activities in challenging environments;
* Willingness to travel and work in remote areas;
* Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, flexibility, and good interpersonal relationships;
* Proficient in Office Suite;
* Intermediate English (desirable);
* Excellent leadership skills, positive attitude, teamwork, self-confidence, conflict resolution, resilience, adaptability, and communication;
* Work regime: On-site;
* Must reside in Juruti/PA (remote area).

Founded in 2006, with operations starting in 2009, the Juruti mine has a potential bauxite reserve of 700 million metric tons. Its current operating capacity is 7.5 million tons per year (6.5 million dry metric tons) of high-quality bauxite.
