We're currently looking for our new Category Manager, who will be responsible for Global Category ownership for all business areas.

As a Category Specialist you will help us in your mission by taking charge of purchasing activities across areas, managing the business strategically with the objectives of leveraging and promoting complexity reduction and innovation. As such, you will be responsible for data research, analytics and management of direct material category strategies, supporting the development of annual budgets and 5-year strategic plans for all business areas. You will be expected to promote preventive actions and collaborate with other purchasing teams to ensure project execution, implementation of category strategies, and the reaching of our commercial aims.
You will also be responsible for strategic sourcing activities, working closely with suppliers in order to develop and retain strong partnerships. In order to do so, you will manage and evaluate contracts, lead external and internal analysis processes, assist in the implementation and expansion of payment terms (NOWC), and address resolution to supplier-driven performance issues. You will encourage continuous improvement and propose actions in that direction, while paying attention to opportunities of contract improvement and renegotiations.
Other responsibilities will be to work with category leads in order to deploy a category strategy that meets all business requirements, and to support program management on new model launches and platform refresh programs.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Economics);
- Experience with managing and delivering cost reduction and value creation projects;
- Experience with cost analysis for direct materials;
- Experience with negotiation for commercial conditions;
- Experience with managing supplier relationships and contracts;
- Strong knowledge of purchasing environment;
- Strong knowledge of direct materials categories;
- Advanced Office skills;
- Advanced English (any extra language is an asset).
