**Responsibilities**:
- Opportunity snapshot: An exciting, 12 months Fixed Term role has become available for a Test Analyst The Test Analyst is responsible for assisting with planning, organising, and conducting testing in projects/programs within BUPA Technology by adhering to and implementing the missions, goals, standards, and test processes that have been established for Bupa Australia's (ALM) Application Life Cycle Management.
How will I help?
- Understand and align to BUPA testing standards, audit, and compliance requirements throughout the delivery of the project
- Produce the system test deliverables i.e., test plan, test scripts, and test data to the agreed timescale, budget, and quality
- Execute the test cases and document the test results
- Review and provide feedback on the Test Strategy/Test Plan and support the Test Lead/Test Manager with the implementation
- Work collaboratively within the project team and the wider delivery teams during the build of new features/enhancements
- Analyse the requirements / user stories and solution design documents and produce detailed test plan and test cases across different phases of testing - System Testing and SIT
- Log and manage defects identified during test execution and track them to closure in a timely manner
- Based on the standard best practises, provide ongoing recommendation to uplift BUPA Australia's Quality assurance practise and processes
- Source the test data required for test execution based on the test scenarios/cases identified, by working with the requisite teams
- Liaise with Business Analysts, Developers, and SMEs to understand the requirements / user stories and identify gaps very early on in the Software Development Lifecycle, and thus, adding value
- Provide input to the Test Lead/Test Manager on the estimation of various testing activities
- Actively participate in the defect management process and assist in prioritising the defect fixes to minimise the risk of delay in test completion
- Other Quality Assurance and testing related responsibilities as requested by the Test Lead/Test Manager to assist with testing deliverables
What do I need?
- Prior experience working in an agile development environment and have a good understanding of agile ceremonies and processes
- Experience working in a large-scale and complex environment with the ability to adapt to changing project priorities and conflicting schedules
- ISTQB foundation /advanced level certification is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyse, translate and prioritise business requirements / user stories into test cases / scenarios within the agreed test framework
- Experience working with teams operating in distributed model/different time zones (Onsite/Offshore), including outsourced third parties and in-house teams
- Good planning, organisation, and time management skills along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience across various test phases including Systems Testing, Systems Integration Testing etc
- Experience working on a wide range of test management tools such as Jira, VSTS, ALM etc
- Ability to work collaboratively within and outside the organisation in a fast paced and schedule driven environment
- Basic/Intermediate SQL Skills with the ability to write and execute SQL queries for database verification
