**Senior Manager, Team Services (Freelance)**:
- FIFA27 will be established as the Local FIFA Subsidiary in Brazil, to work together with FIFA HQ in Zurich and globally, to deliver the biggest women's sporting event in the world, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027 ("FWWC2027").
This role will initially be a temporary freelance position supporting the preparation phase for the FWWC2027, with the possibility to transition to a fixed-term contract position once the FIFA27 local subsidiary is established in Brazil.
**THE POSITION**:
- Reporting to the FWWC2027 Head of Competitions, and working alongside the FIFA Team Services Lead in Zurich, the Team Services Senior Manager will be responsible for the successful building, leading and implementation of the FWWC2027 Team Services project.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Planning, coordinating and implementing all services to be delivered to the teams and referees in accordance with FIFA regulations, policies and guidelines, in close collaboration with multiple functional areas;
- Leading the development of various operational and site concepts for Team Services and participating in all respective reviews and meetings in collaboration with FIFA (Zurich) Team Services;
- Implementing all Team Services policies, procedures and concepts);
- Developing and implementing Team Services action plans and timelines;
- Ensure effective communication with the participating teams;
- Contributing to the planning and delivery of all competition-related events, such as FIFA test events, seminars and workshops;
- Building, leading and managing the Team Services staff, including oversight of the recruiting process and training staff and volunteers in close collaboration with counterparts in Zurich;
- Managing, reviewing and controlling the Team Services budget.
**YOUR PROFILE**:
- A minimum of five years in a simlar role within sports event management, ideally at the international level.
- Experience in team services, competition management or both an asset.
- Extensive and well-founded knowledge of international football and/or other sports.
- Extensive knowledge of event and competition operations, sport facility operations, event planning and event project management processes.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams across business areas.
- Proven ability to hire, develop, coach, appraise and retain experienced and less experienced employees.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, exercising sound judgement to achieve results.
- High energy, motivational leadership, effective negotiation skills, excellent communication skills and positive relationship management skills.
- Comfortable working in an international, demanding and changing environment.
- Able to adapt to and work well with people of other cultures and backgrounds.
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
- This role will be a temporary freelance position, with the possibility to transition to a full-time fixed term contract role once a local FIFA subsidiary is established (based in Rio de Janeiro).
Whilst working on a freelance basis, this role will allow full-time remote work.
Once the role is transitioned to the FIFA27 subsidiary, it may require you to be based full-time (5 days per week) in the office in Rio.
