RESPONSIBILITIESPerform a variety of land acquisition duties in support of the EYNF Lands Management ProgramConduct electronic filing and review case files for completeness and accuracyPrepare and analyze land acquisition forms and legal documentsCoordinate with partners and stakeholders involved in land acquisition activitiesStudy and synthesize current research and reports related to land transactionsDraft and edit memoranda, research reports, and case-related correspondenceExercise independent judgment when researching, summarizing related cases/case law, and providing legal referencesEnter data into government databases in compliance with security and cyber-security requirementsFollow procedures to protect government property, equipment, and information systemsKNOWLEDGE & SKILLSKnowledgeable in secretarial dutiesKnowledgeable in understanding legal terms and practiceExcellent written and oral communication skillsBACKGROUNDExperience in a legal office environment preferredA valid driver's license requiredBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish requiredDetail-oriented and highly organizedEDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree preferredLOCATIONRio Grande, Puerto Rico 00745TELEWORKN/ACLEARANCEU.S.
