Advising on new & existing business models, guiding disclosures of important tax positions in Indirect Tax Returns, supervising internal & external indirect tax audit/inquiry responses, supporting systems & process improvement projects, in collaboration with various business Teams.What you will do:Assisting businesses on evaluating impact of upcoming VAT introduction in BrazilPerforming critical analysis on complex indirect tax issues, utilizing tax technical rules and business contextMonitoring indirect tax developments (including on digital front) across Brazil and analyzing impact of such changes on business operations.Collaborating with business partners across Brazil to provide regular indirect tax advice for facilitating business operations and strategic projects, such as greenfield expansion.Guiding stakeholders for disclosure of critical indirect tax issues for statutory reporting across Brazil, such as indirect tax returns, Transfer Pricing studies, Annual Financial statements.Supporting external audits, including supervising submissions made to the tax offices such as workpapers and calculations.Supporting litigation conducted by the Legal team across Brazil, including preparatory work for documents and information, calculations, and evidence.Supporting technology implementation and upgrades, process efficiencies, from an indirect tax perspective.Skills:Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational, tactical and strategic planning in support of the overall business plan.Tax Management: Knowledge of tax laws, organizational tax practices, obligations; ability to manage organization tax related issues.Tax Operations: Knowledge of indirect tax practices and regulations; ability to review federal, state and local tax returns.Tax Regulations: Knowledge of federal, state and local indirect tax procedures and regulations; ability to adhere to Indirect tax regulations when reviewing forms as they pertain to a particular business or industry.Basic requirements:University degreeIndirect tax knowledgePre Advanced EnglishTop candidates will also have:Advanced EnglishWork Experience with law firm / Big4 Consulting firms is preferredSome of the offered benefits:Medical planDental planMedicines reimbursementPsychological, Legal, Social and Finance Support ProgramPrivate pension planProfit shareMeal assistanceChristmas basketTransportationLife and personal insuranceExtended maternity and paternity leaveEmployee resources group (Young Professional, Women in Networking, LAMBDA (LGBTQIA+), Latin Group and Active in Sport)*Caterpillar reserves the right to change or modify benefits at any time, subject to prior notice and in compliance with legal requirements.
