Education: Degree in PedagogyExperience: Minimum of 5 years of classroom experience;2 years experience as a head teacher of early childhood education (students from 1 to 3 years old);Nursery experience;Classroom management.Languages: Proficiency in EnglishSpecific Technical Knowledge:BilingualismEarly Childhood EducationDesirable Knowledge:IB MethodologyChild DevelopmentSoft Skills and Values:Digital ThinkingCaring ProfileInterpersonal RelationshipsConflict ManagementCreativityYou will be responsible for teaching, preparing content and managing students in school environments following RED HOUSE s pedagogical plan:Teach classes and guide children s learning, promoting learning experiences based on RED HOUSE s pedagogical plan and the special needs of every student;Know the school s Pedagogical Proposal, the approach adopted and the learning expectations of that specific grade;Analyze the student s evolution in the learning process, collecting evidence and paying attention to individual needs, defining actions to improve performance;Develop, together with the coordination, strategies that promote the improvement and engagement of students, based on observation and evidence collection;Promote classes and differentiation strategies for students with learning difficulties;Supervise the work of the Teaching Assistant (TA) in adapting activities for students with special educational needs;Ensure safety, constantly staying with students, in any activity, observing, guiding and interfering when necessary, to avoid possible accidents. Keeping this stance comprehensively to all school students;Carefully observe the child s attitudes and behaviors in order to identify illnesses, managing the necessary actions;Report the observed behaviors and performance of the children to the coordinator, in order to keep families informed;Receive students at the school entrance and exit, paying attention to handing the children over only to a person in charge;Follow RED HOUSE s general guidelines (Language Policy, Teachers Handbook, Assessment Policy) and ensure the Teaching Assistant (TA) does too;Prepare weekly plans at the frequency agreed with the coordinator and display them in a visible place in the classroom;Periodically review the weekly plans, considering the proposed and accomplished objectives, re-planning if necessary;Forward copies of activities and material for class use or projects for approval by the Coordination, respecting the set deadlines;Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by the current legislation, district policies, and administrative regulations (Class Journal);Advise students through evidence-based practices, managing conflict situations, according to what is proposed by the school philosophy;Prepare the Report Cards and present them to the coordination, complying to deadlines;Guide the TA about the material that will make up the student s portfolio and supervise when the assistant is filing them;Guide the TA on classroom decoration and mural preparation, organization and toys;Guide the TA with expectations, deadlines and instructions in a clear way, reporting identified development needs to the coordination;Inform the responsible parents/guardians, in individual or collective meetings and with the supervision of the coordinator, about the student s development;Attend Academic Meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence;Be responsible for student material and class management;Communicate to the coordination the daily occurrences related to the students (accidents, illnesses, absences, etc.);Share relevant information about students with other teachers in the class;Meet deadlines set by RED HOUSE guidelines (newsletter, unit summary, unit planner, etc.);Check and control allergies and special diets of students in the class, ensuring safety;Perform tasks related to those described above and those determined by the immediate superior.
