Job Description Department: Guest Service Designation: Guest Service Associate Reports To: Assistant Manager Guest Service Prime Function: Provide proficient and professional guest service by meeting and exceeding guest expectations.Welcome guests by greeting them as per the standards.Report any matters affecting the interests of ACCOR to Management.Facilitate or oversee the functioning of the Guest Service department (Front Office and F&B Service).Key Responsibilities: People Management Respond to customer queries and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfaction.Attend to guest complaints, requests, or inquiries regarding food and services.Establish and maintain seamless coordination & cooperation with all departments to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale, and guest service.Financial Management Identify optimal, cost-effective use of resources and educate the team accordingly.Operational Management Set up all operating equipment and inspect linen and condiments before service.Familiarize yourself with all dishes on the menu.Ensure clearance of soiled chinaware, glassware, and silverware from guest tables and reset for the next arrival.In the absence of the Assistant Manager - Guest Service, take guest orders, advise guests on specials, and maintain control of guest and hotel accounts ensuring accuracy and timely posting of all charges.Promote hotel facilities and maximize sales through product knowledge and selling skills.Attend to all guest queries, inquiries, and requests in a helpful, professional, warm, and friendly manner.Handle luggage courteously and efficiently.Control room inventory and assign rooms per guest needs.Familiarize yourself with property layout, fire exits, and elevator locations.Report equipment malfunctions, emergency situations, or suspicious persons to the Guest Service Manager.Minimize breakage, pilferage, and spoilage.Occupational Health & Safety Employee Responsibility All employees are responsible for complying with relevant OHS&E legislation and policies, including:
Taking care of themselves and others.Cooperating with Accor Hotel instructions including Safe Work Method Statements, Safety, and other Procedures and Training.Not interfering with or misusing safety equipment.Reporting all hazardous situations.Following all reasonable instructions from a manager.Replacement and Temporary Mission: Be ready and responsible for any job assigned by Management.
