Alcoa is seeking a Gerente Técnico de Projetos Sociais de Capital to join our team in Juruti – /PA. You will be responsible for leading and managing social engineering projects effectively, ensuring that social and environmental objectives are met and relationships with local communities are strengthened.
This position challenges you to implement technical governance of projects committed to the state, municipality, and federation, requiring leadership in delivering project results with quality, safety, technical assurance, cost-effective design solutions, and schedules aligned with delivery commitments.
Main responsibilities include:
* Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, teams, government, community, sponsors, and business partners, to ensure project success;
* Evaluate project proposals, prioritize projects based on specific criteria (such as strategic alignment, risk, cost, and return on investment), and ensure efficient resource allocation;
* Identify and manage risks associated with projects, develop mitigation plans, and establish control mechanisms to minimize negative impacts;
* Conduct periodic performance analyses of projects, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and take corrective actions when necessary;
* Lead and develop project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure objectives are met;
* Manage and supervise social engineering projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and contributing to the organization's success while following Alcoa's project governance procedures;
* Engage with state and municipal entities at project inception; participate in deadline decisions with Government Affairs, monitoring planning and execution according to the action plan and schedule;
* Validate project schedules to meet commitments with government entities; approve unit reports regarding committed projects, ensuring all project and engineering tasks are well-managed concerning cost, schedule, and change management;
* Participate (or allocate resources) in project audits and reviews, confirming the scope agreed with the entity, assessing licensing and permitting needs for project execution;
* Interface between Alcoa and entities, organizing events, visits, and meetings with client agencies and Alcoa; monitor and evaluate the results of executed projects and participate in project close-out with documentation and asset donation.
What you can offer for the role:
* Education: Degree in Engineering;
* Postgraduate or MBA in Project Management; certifications such as PMP are desirable.
* Proven experience in project portfolio management, preferably in social engineering projects in mining;
* Proficiency in Office, Project, Primavera;
* Technical knowledge in social engineering and project management methodologies, FEL, AWP, and PMBOK practices;
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills;
* Intermediate English;
* Positive attitude, teamwork, self-confidence, conflict resolution, resilience, adaptability, and communication;
* Reside in Juruti/PA (remote area).
