APM TerminalsAbout the Role:As a Software Engineer at APM Terminals, you will play a key role in our software development initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects, collaborate with talented teams, and drive innovation to enhance our products.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient LAM applications, ensuring clean, efficient code, comprehensive test coverage, and performance optimization.Define event and API schemas in collaboration with internal and external platform users, ensuring a security-by-design approach and seamless data flow.Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices, making strategic technology choices that align with business objectives and scalability needs.Uphold high coding standards through best practices, automated testing, and adherence to coding guidelines.Actively engage in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).5+ years of experience in software engineering.Required Skills & Experience:Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, and Node.js.Experience with web frameworks and libraries like Laravel, CodeIgniter, React, Angular, and Bootstrap.Familiarity with SQL Server and Oracle databases.Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills (English proficiency required).Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
