Western Snowy Plover Conservation Initiative
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Biologist to monitor the Western Snowy Plover population in Guadalupe, California.
Job Description
As a Field Biologist, you will be responsible for:
* Conducting regular surveys of the Western Snowy Plover habitat to monitor population trends and behavior
* Collecting and analyzing data on nesting success, chick survival, and adult mortality
* Collaborating with our team to develop and implement conservation strategies to protect the species and its habitat
* Participating in research projects to better understand the ecology and behavior of the Western Snowy Plover
Instructions
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Experience working in field biology, particularly with bird species
* Strong observational and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and documentation skills
Language Requirements
This position requires fluency in English, both written and spoken. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with our team and stakeholders, and to document your findings in a clear and concise manner.
