The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
This role in summary
We are seeking a Cooling Engineer for Refrigeration who will be responsible for the development of technical solutions related to thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and Heat Transfer for implementation in projects for domestic refrigeration systems. As a Cooling Engineer, you will work on developing cost-effective and high-quality projects that focus on growth and innovation. You will work mainly with the attributes of performance, energy, NVH and food preservation.
Your responsibilities will include
1. Develop solutions for Cooling systems of refrigerators, air conditioning and water products.
2. Optimize appliance refrigerator performance through the development and parameterization of appliance algorithms.
3. Perform laboratory testing of prototypes for component and system level characterization.
4. Develop multiple concepts and utilize engineering disciplines such as CAD, DFMEA, A3, hands-on testing and proprietary algorithm development tools to evaluate and select concepts which best meet requirements.
5. Close knowledge gaps and create future leverage.
6. Technical project management: Schedule, Scope, Risk management related to modules and components owned.
7. Develop cost-effective and high-quality projects that focus on growth and innovation.
8. Work with modular design and complexity reduction.
9. Apply knowledge of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Materials Science.
10. Develop and present reports, spreadsheets and presentations using Google Workspace.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferable Mechanical, Mechatronic or equivalent; Advanced English language proficiency; Experience in product development is preferred; Technical Skills knowledge: Thermodynamics; Heat Transfer; Fluid Mechanics; Acoustics; Vibration; Aerodynamics; Materials Science, Statistics; System Engineering, APQP, OPEX and Project Management.
