ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
Your main tasks will involve tech team, providing assistance under supervision of the Compliance in the Americas, which includes Latin America, Caribbean and North America, and ensuring the smooth operation of this team. WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Ensuring that all required regulations/licenses at the Entity, State, District, and City levels are in place and active for all countries in Latin America and Caribbean as applicable.
* Monitor filings and prepare responses to inquiries / objections from regulators and modify contractual forms as needed until final approval is received.
* Developing and implementing plans to correct instances where non-compliance is occurring in collaboration with regional and central teams.
* Engaging with regional teams, (including regulatory and legal) particularly the Country Legal Representatives to identify areas of potential non-compliance and resolving them.
* Support Bid/Sales teams in accreditation activities during bids.
* Work with central teams for process improvement plan when needed.
* Be proactive, demonstrate analytical skills to assess regulations, be proficient in document analysis.
* Raise awareness and be critical with special attention to details to ensure SITA complies with the applicable regulations.
* Respond to the Senior Manager Compliance.
Qualifications
WHO YOU ARE
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Law, Business Administration, or Economics.
* 2+ years of experience in managing compliance requirements in Latin America. A good understanding of the compliance landscape in Latin America is necessary. Work experience with the Big 4 would be given preference.
* Proficiency in English, Spanish and Portuguese is required.
* Ability to review and analyze regulatory environment changes.
* Strong legal and regulatory research skills and experience.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working independently, proactive, diligently, and efficiently.
* Ability to interact well with employees at all levels and external contacts such as legal counsel and regulators.
* Ability to travel when needed.
