We are looking for a Senior Account manager with strong experience working in the Pet Food Industry in a Business Development Role or Commercial Role who will be responsible for Developing and implementing business strategies.
Key responsibilities
1. Achieves Kerry’s Pet Food sales objectives for a territory.
2. Develops and executes a Latin America Plan, being Brazil the initial priority, aligned with our Global Strategy for this EUM
3. Promotes Kerry Pet Food technologies and capabilities, to target customers in the Pet Food business
4. Gains and maintains detailed knowledge of each existing and potential customer within the territory, which includes but may not be limited to their products, their internal mfg. capabilities, company information, market information, their current suppliers, organizational structure, and key personnel.
5. Understands customers’ decision making process and identifies who are the decision makers, key influencers, end-users and guiders, as well as their individual style and relationship, within customers’ organization. Quarterly updates on the information.
6. Develop a win/win sales strategy based on customer’s needs, internal capabilities, competitor's weaknesses and Kerry’s strengths.
7. Coordinates with all Kerry support personnel and to manage customer projects to ensure all customer needs are understood and met in a timely manner.
8. Conducts annual business reviews with key accounts in territory when appropriate.
9. Forecasts territory sales figures and budgeting for upcoming year and monitor monthly actual sales versus budget.
10. Prepares for and attends sales meetings and industry tradeshow meetings.
Qualifications and skills
11. Bachelor or master’s degree in Business.
12. Robust sales experience in formulations, product / process development, services, equipment or manufacturing related to the Pet Food industry.
13. Good experience of visiting customer sites where Pet Food formulations are manufactured.
14. Excellent project management and communication skills in order to effectively manage customer and internal company activities.
15. Consultative /Strategic complex selling skills.
16. Strong goal-setting, time management, and organizational skills.
17. Ability to work in a matrix interacting with peers from other regions and cross functions in Latam
18. Computer literature (minimum Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and good written and presentation skills.
19. Able to work both individually and as part of a team.
20. Able to work on own initiative and take on responsibility.
21. Fluency in Local and International Languages is required.
