**Job Description**:
In this role you will be one of the key contributors in our new oncology franchise, providing patients and healthcare professionals access to this innovative treatment.
The focus will be on oncology physicians who treat patients with mTNBC.
Our Therapeutic Specialists across all our existing therapy areas are enthusiastic about our patient-centric approach and expert in discussing and explaining the characteristics and benefits of our treatment(s) in a highly scientific and dynamic healthcare environment.
Specific responsibilities
- Be the product expert enhancing product's knowledge and promotional skills through self-studying and training activities/meetings active participation.
- Have deep knowledge on disease environment and competitor's information's to help with products strategy and actions.
- Implement effective sales calls to HCP's in order to sell the product's main benefits, being able to address HCPs main concerns/objections and challenge the HCPs for them to have confidence in prescribing our product.
- Establish and develop business relationships with key customers, accounts and relevant key opinion leaders.
Develop a robust call planning achieving customer contact plans and delivering on related KPIs.
- Refine the HCPs and accounts mapping and segmentation from your territory and be able to analyse them and define a robust targeting plan to optimize the activities and business results.
- Prepare territory planning to HCPs and accounts aligned to marketing strategic pillars, local priorities for mTNBC and with the infield team (MSLs and Access Managers).
In addition to it, develop an action plan that will help to achieve your sales goals with clear KPIs definitions and FUPs.
- Constantly analyse market data to evaluate the product and competitor's performance results in your territory and correct strategy route accordingly
- Responsible for working in partnership with the infield team (Access Key Account Managers and MSLs) to ensure alignment in local strategic planning and activities implementation.
- High level and flawless execution of all activities under your responsibility to guarantee compliance rules are followed and target budget is managed.
- Responsible for achieving sales targets in assigned territory.
- May represent company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
- Proactively bring insights from the field to help with the product strategy and sales and communicate proactively to Marketing and Sales management.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner e.g.
updating customer database, events database, expenditure reports etc.
- Responsible for achieving the competency levels required in the role.
- Compliance with country regulations and code of conduct at all times.
Knowledge, experience and skills
Essentials:
- Relevant Oncology and/or Breast Cancer therapeutic area knowledge is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a highly competitive pharmaceutical therapy area is required as well as experience in a therapy area with high scientific emphasis (Specialty Care area or Rare Disease for instance working with biological products or target therapies).
- Previous experience with product launches and private market products is desired.
- Must have sound scientific expert knowledge and be able to stay on top of all relevant new emerging data.
- Must be able to understand and digest original publications and talks.
- Has the ability to maintain / develop and utilise a high level of product and therapeutic disease knowledge to promote the appropriate use of Gilead products to HCPs.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are required in order to provide effective sales calls with HCPs.
- Must have high level of energy, accountability and flawless execution to implement the product action plan needed.
- Proven experience in account planning and cross functional account management approach.
- Must demonstrate solid analytical skills, be able to identify and understand moderate to complex issues, problems and interpret information in a manner that provides appropriate routes adjusts
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment, understanding new business opportunities and challenges and adapting plans accordingly.
- Must be able to travel as dictated by business needs.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence.
