Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring an Automated Industrial Technology Adjunct Faculty.

Note: Most Automated Industrial Technology (AIT) courses are four (4) to five (5) load hours, and meet 1 evening per week, for 16 weeks.

* AIT110 Mechanical Power Transmission Systems
* AIT115 Hydraulic Systems
* AIT117 Introduction to Data Center Operations
* AIT120 Pneumatic Systems
* AIT125 DC and AC Components and Circuits
* AIT205 Power Electronics and Variable Frequency Drives
* AIT210 Programmable Logic Controller Programming and Troubleshooting
* AIT215 Process Control Systems
* AIT225 Industrial Motors and Motor Control
* AIT227 Power Distribution Systems
* AIT270 Robotics I (Universal Robots)
* AIT275 Robotics II (FANUC Robots)
Essential Functions
Teach a variety of instructional objectives and courses related to Industrial Automation at the Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) @West-MEC Southwest Campus. This program leads to certifications and an AAS degree in Automated Industrial Technology. Courses include Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Mechanical, Industrial Electrical, Motor Control, AC/DC Motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Process Control and Robotics, and Data Center Operations, and Power Distribution Systems. Demonstrates a commitment to service excellence, innovation, student success, integrity, and diversity in the performance of job duties.
Minimum Qualifications
* Five years of occupational experience in the field to be taught OR
* Three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor’s degree or higher OR
* A Master’s degree or higher in the teaching field OR
* A Master’s degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching field OR
* A Master’s degree or higher in any field with a combination of 24 upper division and/or graduate credits in the teaching field
Desired Qualifications
* Five (5) years’ work experience in industrial automation
* Previous experience with teaching, training or extensive delivering technical presentations
* Demonstrated excellence in communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications
* Previous experience with an online LMS (Canvas)
Special Working Conditions
May require some lifting and standing in an applied technology student laboratory.
