Position Overview: As a DBA at Band of Coders, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our clients' databases, ensuring their reliability, security, and performance. You will work closely with our development team to design, implement, and optimize database structures and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain MySQL/MariaDB databases for multiple clients
2. Design and implement database structures and processes to support application development
3. Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity
4. Monitor database systems to identify and resolve issues on time
5. Create and maintain database documentation and standards
6. Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and optimize database-related issues
7. Implement and maintain database security measures
8. Perform database backups and disaster recovery procedures
9. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging technologies in database management
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DBA, preferably with MySQL/MariaDB
2. Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
3. Experience with database design, development, and optimization
4. Experience with database security, backup, and recovery procedures
5. Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Java
6. Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
8. Strong communication and collaboration skills
9. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
