As a Senior Software Engineer in NOV, you will develop new and current software applications that will directly support the work in the departments of Subsea Production Systems segment. You will develop simple solutions working small, talk to end-users during the entire product development process, use your problem-solving approach and be curious monitoring the outcome of any release, to determine if we achieved the expected effect. In between, you will refactor your code on the go and handle not-urgent bugs. You will lead projects cross the team and cross the organization, teach and mentor colleague developers, head knowledge groups and be a role software developer model with an experienced product development approach.
The role as a Senior Software Engineer is an extension of the role Software Engineer for the experienced engineer demonstrating consistent value creation, proactive attitude, and high level of competences. The Senior Software Engineer is furthermore seen as a role model in the organization adhering to and personifying NOV shared values.
You will work with:
Different internal stand-alone applications supporting different areas in SPS - Subsea Production Systems segment;
SQL databases;
Reduce complexity on current and future code and architecture;
Contribute to working smarter in the team;

Close end-user collaboration.
What competencies required:
.,. in Engineering, Computer Science or similar fields or autodidact within software development;
Full stack Engineer (frontend and backend);
Very important: Experienced writing C#;
Very important: Experienced working with SQL databases;
Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation;
Knowledge of Entity Frame Core;
Knowledge of packaging and deploying containerized applications, preferably using Kubernetes;
Very important: Experienced GitHub and Copilot user;
Experience working in agile setups and product development set-ups;
Several years of working experience with software development.
Work details:
Can work remotely most of the time, but must be available to work on-site at the Rio Office up to 3 days per week when needed;
Working hours are from 8 am to 5 pm.
