This position requires knowledge in the following areas.Roles and Responsibilities:Day-to-Day Accounting Operations:Manage and supervise daily accounting activities, maintaining accurate and timely financial recordsOversee AP and AR processes to ensure proper cash flow management, timely payments, and collectionsMonitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policiesReview and approve key transactions, such as high-value payments, vendor reconciliations, and customer paymentsOversee the integration between Business Central (BC) and PSA system, maintaining seamless data flow and consistency across systemsTroubleshoot and resolve integration issues as they ariseMonth-End & Audits:Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reportingPrepare and maintain all necessary schedules and reconciliations for balance sheet accountsCoordinate with various departments to gather information for the close and resolve discrepanciesFacilitate process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting functionSupport the Controller in preparing financial statements and management reportsEnsure adherence to internal controls and assist in auditing activitiesAssist in preparing for external audits by maintaining accurate records and providing required documentationCross-Department Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, HR, finance) to streamline processes and resolve accounting-related issuesServe as a point of contact for inquiries related to financial transactions and proceduresReview/investigate credit memo requestsQualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience: 5+ years of experience in US based accounting rolesSkills: Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software (ERP experience a plus), attention to detail, and excellent communicationThis is a full time contract position from the hours of 8am - 5pm Central Time (UTC -5 / -6), Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
