Job Description:
This role is necessary to support the growth and of the Cybersecurity Analytics and Internal Risk team. This will improve the ability to develop analytical tools and dashboards to help improve Information Security's ability to show value and efficacy to its stakeholders. It will enable further development of critical metrics within Cyber Defense and the broader Cybersecurity Operations program. This role will also help identify risk across Mars and the subsidiaries by analyzing large datasets to find anomalies and trends to provide to relevant teams.
What are we looking for?
* Member of Analytics team to assist with accomplishing analytics roadmap objectives and strategy
* Co-develop dashboards and visualization used for periodic updates to Security leadership.
* Coordinate closely with broader Cybersecurity, IT and business stakeholders to help gather requirements for queries and dashboards.
* Be a trusted expert on how to best visualize data to tell the story in an engaging and informative way.
* Analyze data to Identify Important and relevant stories to help make Improvements to security controls and reduce risk to the organization.
* Manage metrics within team and assist with the development for other teams within Cyber Defense & Cybersec Ops
* Assist with tracking and managing data source pipeline for data lifecycle management efforts.
* Merge data sets outside of standard platforms to prototype data correlations and visualizations.
* Support the Cyber Defense Threat team in providing capacity for threat hunting in data sources.
* Recommend roadmap Ideas for Cybersecurity's data & Dashboard platform technology.
What will be your key responsibilities?
* Takes direction from Cyber Analytics Senior Lead as well as proposes new Innovative Ideas
* Produce queries, visualizations, and dashboards based on requirements from stakeholders.
* Broad knowledge of analytical languages, dashboard capabilities, and optimal visualization usage.
* Broad technical expertise with cybersecurity data to find useful information in raw data for team members and for investigations.
* Ability to troubleshoot data quality Issues from Identification to remediation with proper team members.
* Work during non-standard business hours at times in support of incident response activities.
Educational & Professional Requirements
* University degree (engineering/IT/computer science) or equivalent work experience.
* Advanced Data Analytics certifications courses preferred: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), CompTIA Data Analytics Plus, or other comparable credential.
* Security Certifications preferred - Security+, Network+
* Advanced/Proficient English Language Skills
Knowledge & Experience:
* 2+ years work experience in business analytics role creating dashboards
* Strong understanding and experience working with SIEM, EDR, phishing security controls, and Insider Threat programs.
* Dashboard and Visualization tool experience required (e.g. PowerBI, Grafana)
* Knowledge of Power Query and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) required.
* Database experience preferred (e.g. SQL, KQL)
* Experience with regular expressions.
* Expert abilities with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
* Strong technical writing and speaking skills.
