ABOUT THE ROLE:
The position will be a member of the management team of engineering and maintenance for the Extrema plant and reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
This professional will be responsible for adopting asset and maintenance management (including energy) standards, working to automate processes effectively and implementing performance improvement engineering/maintenance projects intending to offer solutions for our customers and processes, being committed to sustainability and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the design, modification, installation and commissioning of production equipment and systems considering corporate standards.
Control and optimize safety, quality, costs and manufacturing efficiency.
Support corporate and local policies and programs (FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, etc.).
Interface with engineers and multifunctional teams to define project scope requirements and incorporate corporate standards.
Evaluate new process technologies to improve existing systems and solve process and safety problems.
Work with finance, production, quality and safety to develop justifications for capital projects.
Manage capital projects and budgets.
Identify and effectively utilize project resources.
Provide technical assistance to processing facilities to improve quality and efficiency.
Work effectively in developing employee engagement and excellent working relationships.
E2E deployment/adoption of energy standards and practices for decreasing energy costs.
Maintenance of utilities and infrastructure aligned with the asset management team and production core teams.
Optimizes spare parts costs and executes kitting including tools & permits.
Deployment of digitalization, including automation.
SCOPE:
This role supports chocolate operations and will be based in Extrema factory.
Travel and customer visits required.
ABOUT YOU:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrotechnical, Electrical, Mechanical or Automation).
Advanced level in English language.
Previous experience in industrial engineering, spare parts and maintenance areas.
Knowledge of chocolate technologies will be a differential.
Ability in cost management (OPEX and CAPEX).
Stronger knowledge of reliability pillars and maintenance performance KPIs.
CI tools, mainly RCA, FMECA, RCM.
Ability to work with the management team and oversee the work of contractors, 3rd party engineering providers and direct reports.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Good relationship with areas of industrial support.
Innovation and creativity will be required during the journey of function.
TPM experience will be a differential.
Desirable knowledge of SAP system.
Leadership strengths with the ability to work effectively with a team.
Ability to drive projects to completion.
Problem-solving through root cause analysis.
