Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Compression Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day You will be actively working to develop the mechanical design of the TurboCracker product and work with the rest of the team to advance the product through development and application.
How You will Make an Impact Design and analysis of turbomachinery components and systems from concept definition through detailed design, focusing first on prototype development and then on future product definition Mechanical modeling of turbomachinery components and assemblies (, casings, nozzle vanes, blades and disks, combustor transition ducts, or combustor liners) using Siemens NX CAD Lead/support design reviews as required.
Contribute to the development of design practices, processes and tools required to support the TurboCracker product line Support turbomachinery testing and data analysis Actively contribute to small, focused design teams to support technology and product development project objectives What you Bring Advanced degree ( in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering 5+ years' experience in turbomachinery mechanical design (gas turbines & compressors) Experience in the mechanical design of stationary and rotating turbomachinery components with emphasis on the design of expanders and/or turbine hot section.
Experience in product design Knowledge of API design standards for compressors, gas turbines, and expanders Technical aptitude in turbomachinery fields (aerodynamics, thermodynamics, dynamics, machine design) Experience with turbomachinery testing, instrumentation and test data analysis is a plus Knowledge and/or experience with structural and/or thermal analysis in Ansys workbench is a plus Availability to travel domestically or international as required up to 15% Excellent communication and collaboration skills
