This includes provisioning, configuring, testing, commissioning, and documenting new or modified services for customers. The project engineers work internally with Engineering Peers in the implementation of standards in support of coordinating and deployment of new or modified services. The Project Engineering team work closely with Operations (Project Management/Service Coordination) on assignment of resources, scheduling, moves/adds/changes while in the project phase until the project is completed and turned over to the Customer Support Center (CSC).The day-to-dayConfiguration and Provisioning of Remote and Hub-side Network Components.New projects and existing service changes.Provide support to remote field personnel while installing project related services.Arrange commissioning and ongoing support of Teleport and Data Centre based services.Responsible for updating documentation and drawings relating to projects and service changes.Responsible for following Viasat Change Management process. Documenting and submitting Method of Procedure documentation.Lateral consultation/in house support for CSC / Customer Engineering / Operations.What you'll needDegree qualified or Minimum 5 years of experience supporting RF solutions.Experience in configuring and troubleshooting: iDirect/Newtec Dialog//SCPC/CnC/LoS microwave communication systems.Comprehensive knowledge in the use of engineering tools supporting the deployed systems – e.g. Spectrum Analyser.Ability to work well individually or on a global team, sharing information accordingly.Strong customer service skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong computer applications: Visio/Excel/Word/OutlookFlexibility and willingness to meet customer requirements as required.Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and work independently using your own initiative.What will help you on the jobBaseline knowledge of IP systems and how they integrate to an RF solution.Knowledge of Stabilized antenna systems – SeaTel / Intellian / Orbit.LTE solutions / Uplogix.EEO StatementViasat is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, seeking to create a welcoming and diverse environment.
