This position is responsible for managing loss prevention and security field operations and programs that protect the human and material resources of the Corporation's assets throughout Brazil, as assigned by the Regional LP Manager.
Current divisions in area of responsibility include CBG, Automotive and Protective and Marine Coatings, and Global Supply Chain any other Sherwin Williams division in Brazil.
The position manages and resolves loss prevention and security related issues impacting the Division's inventory, fixed assets, liquid assets, human resources, and all other tangible facets that potentially have adverse financial consequences to the company.QualificationsRequirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in law, International Relations, Criminal Justice, Accounting or similarExperience: 5 to 7 years in Loss Prevention, Corporate Security or Compliance management rolesLanguages: Written and verbal in English, PortugueseDesirable:Master's degree / MBA/ Certified Forensic Interviewer / Certified Fraud ExaminerWritten and verbal in SpanishResponsibilitiesInvestigate in an appropriate manner all internal/ external incidents of dishonesty or irregularities that impact on the profitability of the Corporation; or where there exists the possibility that a criminal act has been committed on corporate property, or against the corporate interests, to determine cause, extent of loss, and provide appropriate controls to prevent future occurrences.
This will entail direct involvement in the criminal justice system, including presentation of evidence and testimony in accordance with legal procedure.Develop and implement policies, procedures and administrative controls based on effective principles of risk analysis and loss prevention that are directed toward the reduction or elimination of incidents/events that can contribute to or cause losses of corporate assets and support the effective operation of our facilities.Coordinate, consult, review, and assist in the successful completion of all field investigations and operational related work throughout area of responsibility.
Conduct on-site facility evaluations and internal investigations and submit appropriate reports; ensure compliance with Company, Group, Divisions, and site specific loss prevention and security programs; Identify factors responsible for financial losses and provide technical expertise in resolving risks associated with those factors.
Assist and oversee the development, standardization and procurement of physical security systems and policies as it relates to a facility's physical security design and hardware components, as well as loss prevention and security programs.
Assist with the oversight of executive protection details and international travel safety initiatives within area of responsibility.This position requires the mobility to travel by car and commercial transportation up to approximately 50% of the time.
Requires excellent investigative and interview skills, excellent communication (written and verbal in Portuguese, English and Spanish is desirable) and inter-personal and management skills.
Must be able to interpret, analyze, and reconstruct internal reports and documents that lead to the identification of variables or factors responsible for security related financial losses.
Must be familiar with intrusion alarm systems, physical security hardware, CCTV, and surveillance techniques and use of video and still photo cameras.
