Job Summary:
We are seeking a graduate student of Librarianship with some experience in the field. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in English and possess technical knowledge in Archival Techniques and Bibliographic Collection Management Procedures.
The selected individual will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing library processes/services through librarianship methods. Key duties include:
* Organizing and cataloging the library's book collection;
* Providing assistance and guiding users on the library system;
* Taking part in reading programs and cultural events to promote critical thinking and wholesome citizenship;
* Ensuring the upkeep of the library's collection;
* Processing the collection using library techniques;
* Preparing statistics on library services;
* Researching and proposing new interactive media to foster an interest in reading;
* Managing the collection system;
* Conducting periodic inventories of the collection;
* Controlling library checkouts and ensuring timely returns;
* Researching and surveying collections by age group for acquisition;
* Organizing collections by age group;
* Coordinating the Book Club procedure;
* Supervising elective classes for students with special educational needs;
* Scheduling study time for Middle Years students;
* Teaching the Book Club ECA class;
* Performing other tasks related to the role as required.
