**Responsibilities**:
The Territory Sales and Distribution Manager for Belem/PA - Brazil within the Viasat Community Internet and Residential Business segment, you will oversee our sales & distribution & dealership execution, with a focus on consumer markets.
This position will create and scale our new business by understanding our target customers, and their demographics and define opportunities, helping distributors and dealers identify & assess investment in coverage, sales targets, and costs.
**Requirements**:
As a Territory Sales and Distribution Manager for Belem/PA, you will adapt and implement the key procedures that will drive our distribution efforts and own the metrics to measure the team and partners' performance.
Full comprehensive understanding of assigned Territory; geo & demographically economically, as well as culturally.
Identify gaps in coverage areas within the territory and evaluate a coverage investment opportunity.
Communicate and articulate sales & operations objectives to Distribution partner(s) and dealers.
Understand needs, and requests, monitor, and measure BTL Marketing activities.
Ensure visibility of the Brand and Availability of service at all times.
Monitor competition periodically to understand their value propositions and communicate internally in a data-oriented manner.
Conduct site visits with Distributors and dealers to monitor and audit execution.
Train distributors and dealers, their sales teams, and retailers to understand all our products.
Report on the territory management KPIs and take necessary actions to achieve the Territory targets.
In addition to strong leadership capability, achievement of our partner success objectives requires strategic agility, program management skills, and a deep interest in trade sales and performance optimization.
You are a self-starter who can operate both tactically and strategically.
Sales success requires excellent business insight, regional expertise, creativity, and technical aptitude.
- 10+ years of experience in a consumer service, preferably telecom services
- 5+ years of experience managing vendors or distributors
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance and Marketing, or equivalent experience
- Experience in sales, particularly in the traditional trade channels
- Experience developing, forecasting, and managing sales metrics and budgets
- Experience developing and managing distribution channels
- Experience developing key benchmarks and using analytics tools in measuring business performance
- Ability to develop, prepare and present sales strategy using market data and business performance metrics
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally in matrixed organizations
- Strong communication skills in both writing and speaking
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- High tolerance for change
- Portuguese fluency and basic English
- Travel within Brazil is required (70%) and potentially to the United States
**Preferences**
- MBA or equivalent strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a management position with responsibility for building and supervising teams and remote employees
