ABS Apprentice
The ABS Apprentice provides administrative support to the assigned department as needed.
What You Will Do:
* Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate personnel.
* Organize and maintain updated Department files
* Request and order office supplies
* Prepare reports for the supervisor as requested.
* Check and respond to e-mails.
* Customer service for employees.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
* High School - completed or studying.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Basic knowledge and software skills in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Excellent client service skills with an upbeat attitude.
* Excellent writing skills and use of creative message design principles (i.e., use of language, grammar, spelling, and organizing content) to achieve desired outcomes.
* Effective verbal communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
* Must be punctual at work and all required meetings.
* Obtain a working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management Systems.
Reporting Relationships:
The incumbent reports to the Manager within each area. This position does not have any direct reports.
Working Conditions:
The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while concentrating on a computer screen. The team member may assist with various tasks, including filing, talking, and may have to lift between 5 – 15 pounds on occasion.
