**Position: Full Lawyer (Middle Level) / Enabling Functions / São Paulo, SP**
**GET TO KNOW OUR AREA**
In Legal Patents and Compliance, we work for Bayer’s Crop Science Division. We are responsible for advising, monitoring and ensuring the success of our portfolio by farmers, through business partnering. Here you will have the opportunity to integrate a strategic and consolidated legal department, get to know Bayer’s agricultural division, share with us a strategic vision, lead consultative, contractual and litigation activities, performing a true point of connecting with the business team and other enabling functions areas.
**YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO**:
- Provides advice on legal topics within the areas of law under his/her responsibility;
- Drafts and reviews agreements, supports the business functions in contract negotiations, as applicable;
- Responsible for the files of legal proceedings, as applicable;
- Actively contributes to defining the strategy in legal proceedings, pre-litigation issues and/or negotiations, as applicable;
- Checks legal fees and expenses;
- Prepares and delivers legal and compliance trainings to internal clients within his/her areas of responsibility;
- Supports more senior legal colleagues in M&A and other legal projects from a local perspective.
**ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?**
- Bachelor in Law; Holder of Law degree, registered with the local Bar Association (OAB) and with professional experience, usually for 2 to 5 years.
- Knowledge of the substantive law applicable to the functional area, including applicable regulatory structures and authorities;
- Litigation or contract drafting and negotiation skills, as applicable;
- Knowledge of other areas of law relevant to the business supported, including competition law and IP, as applicable;
- Experience with compliance-related legal regimes;
- Ability to conduct and/or lead non-complex negotiations, with mínimal supervision;
- Ability to proactively advise supported business on legal implications of business strategy, with mínimal supervision;
- Ability to properly communicate with outside counsel, as well as other outside vendors and/or consultants;
- Mandatory: Fluent English (or Advanced with good communication - business language, including legal terms);
- Location: Sao Paulo, SP - Hybrid model (with availability to go to the office according to business demand).

- Ability of time management, priorization and organization skills;
- Ability to properly utilize support staff;
- Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences, especially to clients without a judicial or legal background, including in trainings for small or big groups;
- Ability to actively and constructively deal with conflicts between business and legal concerns;
- Good analytic capabilities, including the ability to identify root causes of issues and corrective actions;
- Ability to be seen by clients and colleagues as a specially trusted business and legal resource;
- Good capability to evaluate and balance risks with business needs and processes;
- Pro-active identification and communication of requirements and management decision issues to allow efficient progress in the area of responsibility.
