Job Title: Bid Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Cyber Managed Services – Markets Enablement Sales Support Manager. This role is crucial in leading a team of Sales Support Specialists to develop and execute pursuit and sales support processes. The Manager will oversee financial modeling, proposal development, and contract management to ensure seamless transitions from pursuit to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team executing pursuit and sales support processes, including reporting, financial modeling, and deal governance.
* Manage multiple concurrent cybersecurity managed services pursuits effectively.
* Ensure financial metrics align with approved parameters.
* Oversee proposal drafting to align with scope and pricing.
* Collaborate with Engagement Partner and Pursuit Senior Manager to develop compelling proposal documents.
* Transition solutions from pursuit to delivery, ensuring all parties understand the contract and engagement details.
* Manage contract drafting and the contracting process, maintaining accurate version control.
* Capture pursuit artifacts such as proposals, financial models, and labor models.
* Monitor pursuit progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed.
* Deliver high-quality work products within expected timeframes.
Required Skills and Attributes:
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive and support the team.
* Advanced Excel skills, including financial and labor modeling.
* Proven self-starter with the ability to prioritize and plan complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
* Experience in bid management, approvals, and large-scale proposal coordination.
* Financial acumen for complex pricing scenarios, including fixed-fee and consumption-based pricing models.
* Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage deliverables effectively.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional services firm or managed services environment.
* Experience with outsourcing firms such as PWC, KPMG, Accenture, IBM, or EDS.
* Demonstrated leadership experience in managing diverse teams.
* Strong decision-making capabilities with the ability to balance costs and benefits.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other collaboration technologies.
* Strong business reporting and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to travel as needed (less than 10%).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience working in Big 4 consulting firms or similar environments.
* Experience in financial modeling for managed services sales.
* Ability to influence stakeholders and drive collaboration.
* Strategic business acumen and process design expertise.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity or IT-related technologies and tools.
