This position addresses the increasing complexity of trade regulations and the need for a structured approach to meet diverse business demands.In this role, you will be responsible for delivering specialized and proactive compliance support tailored to the unique needs of local regions. You will collaborate with various departments, including Marketing, Taxes, Engineering, Commercialization and Innovation, and Legal, to ensure compliance with trade regulations and facilitate business continuity across all transportation modes.This position is critical in enhancing our compliance capabilities and providing the necessary resources for effective regulatory management.Your ImpactAs Customs & Trade Compliance Analyst your functions would consist of:Data Analysis: Identify trends and areas for improvement in trade data across NA.Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance documentation is accurate and complete.Customs & Trade Consulting: Provide support on compliance-related inquiries from regional teams and customs brokers.Trade Agreement Management: Ensure compliance with free trade agreements and customs regulations in NA.Baseline Creation: Create an inventory of trade agreements and duty regimes in the region.Duty Optimization Analysis: Identify duty optimization opportunities through trade programs.Standardization Initiatives: Collaborate on standardizing import/export processes in NA.SOP Development: Develop and control SOPs to ensure service levels across C&T sectors.Strategic Support: Support operational planning and strategy for the customs and trade team.Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement and knowledge management in compliance.Automation Initiatives: Assist with automation initiatives to enhance team productivity.Relationship Management: Foster interdepartmental relationships for smooth import/export operations.Communities of Practice: Establish global communities of practice to improve collaboration and share best practices.QualificationsWho Are We Looking For?Experience required:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in International Trade, Customs; 0-1 years in related to customs & trade and/or compliance.Ability to positively influence teams outside of direct responsibility and across multiple business units.Utilize technical/functional knowledge that creates opportunities and solves business problems.Self-starter with attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively and proactively across multi-functional, sector, and business teams.Excellent written and oral communication skills; proactively communicates using appropriate methods for situation and audience in clear, concise and professional manner.
