We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to ensure every team member has the quality tools they need to do their job.Reporting to the Manager: RMM and working in a collaborative community within the SP&L Engineering team, you will:Provide and manage a comprehensive work assessment, planning, and scheduling service to designated service sections.Periodically assess the general quality of codes, numbers, and classification schemes to ensure they maximally contribute to quality management reporting.Be responsible for compliance on reporting, Rio Tinto compliance, and corrective actions.Coordinate the development of the annual operational level maintenance budget based on zero-based budgeting (ZBB).Support the Plant Engineer to achieve his set objectives for the area.Assist the Plant Engineer with the coordination of Shutdown Management.Promote mutual support and sharing of knowledge across all sections.Periodically assess the general level of planning services provided by discussing it with production management to stimulate continuous service improvement.Supervise and control the activities, standards of performance, and behavior of designated support staff.Provide guidance and leadership to enable the team to carry out tasks safely and professionally.What you’ll bringA commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.National Diploma or Btech in Engineering discipline recommended (Please attach).Valid South African EB License (Please attach a VALID copy).Minimum of 5 years’ work experience as a supervisor in an operational environment (Must be visible on CV).10 years appropriate industrial experience in mining, engineering maintenance, planning (Must be visible on CV).General understanding of Mechanical and Electrical equipment within a Heavy mining environment (Must be visible on CV).Sound understanding of asset management strategies and maintenance practices with exceptional skills in SAP and Project Management (Must be visible on CV).Please attach ALL copies of your qualifications; failure to do so will result in your application being unsuccessful.Only online applications will be considered.
