Goal of Function:Lead the concentrates product analysis, change implementation, and research to support the development and clinical application for products in the LATAM region.Main Tasks:Design Owner, DHF and/or dossier owner of concentrates and disinfectant products distributed in the region of responsibility and own the product design throughout the life-cycle.Manage all projects in the region of responsibility with the goal of product design maintenance, optimization, and global harmonization.Create project plans and monitor project progress for assigned projects including reporting of project progress within the VS and to other project stakeholders.Deliver on projects on time and within budget aligned with the VS strategy.Under minimal guidance, set up and lead cross-functional teams (quality, production, technology, purchasing, regulatory affairs, etc.)
for the regional implementation of the individual project tasks.Execute the work packages for assigned projects within budget aligned with the VS strategy.Understand user needs and requirements and closely collaborate with Human Factors (PAM) and Product Management to ensure products meet customer expectations.
Deliver and demonstrate product prototypes.Prioritize work to meet project milestones.Own project backlog.Remove or escalate roadblocks.Responsible for product specifications including label content.Understand global portfolio for similar products and drive global harmonization.Provide input to R&D roadmap based on product knowledge.Deep understanding of competitor product designs.Keep abreast of latest technologies, processes, and methods and continually improve efficiency.Follow design control process and maintain documentation for regulatory submissions and audits.Secondary Tasks:Support the collaboration with production aimed at reaching Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design to Cost (DTC), Design for Assembly (DFA), as well as Design for Test (DFT).Support the creation of training concepts in collaboration with the training centre.Required Training and Education:M.S.
or Ph.D.
Degree in biochemistry, biopharmaceutics, or related background.Language Skills:Portuguese (position based in Jaguariuna Plant - Brazil).English.Spanish (desirable).Other Requirements:Experience in medical device design/development is desirable.
