We are seeking the next part-time lead pastor of Saturn Christian Church, a congregation of 60-70 located in rural northeast Indiana with close proximity to Fort Wayne. We are a non-denominational congregation that is giving and encouraging. We sense that the Holy Spirit is moving in our congregation and preparing our church for the next chapter. As we conclude the 34 years of leadership under our current Pastor, we are excited to see the church grow and adapt to what the Lord has for our future. Our pastoral search committee conducted a survey of our congregation to better understand the needs and wants of our members as we move into the future. At this time, our current greatest needs for a healthy church include:NeedsBiblical Preaching: Our church wants to ensure that we find a qualified pastor who believes that the Bible is the inspired word of God, regularly spends time in the word, and uses the scripture as the foundation for their messages.Small Groups/Life Groups: We need help creating places safe enough to own and reveal our brokenness within a group that can help one another through the love of Jesus.Youth Groups: We have a growing young child population and will be in need of youth ministry in the next 5-7 years.ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging sermons and teachings that inspire and educate the congregation.Provide Christian counseling and mentorship to individuals and families in need.Offer bereavement support, assisting families during times of loss with compassion and understanding.Manage conflicts within the church community effectively, promoting harmony and resolution.Lead crisis intervention efforts, providing support during emergencies or personal crises.Work with committees to facilitate church events, programs, and outreach initiatives.Write sermons, contribute to newsletters, and other communications that reflect the church's mission and values.Foster spiritual growth through mentoring relationships with congregants.RequirementsStrong leadership abilities with a passion for guiding others in their spiritual journeys.Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all ages.Proficiency in Christian counseling techniques to provide emotional and spiritual support.Ability to mentor individuals of all ages, fostering their personal development within the faith.A deep understanding of biblical teachings and commitment to living out Christian principles.Willingness to be present for congregants during significant life events, both joyful and challenging.Relevant theological education or equivalent experience is preferred.Join us in making a meaningful impact on our community through faith-driven leadership!Please e-mail to be provided with a complete job profile and to express interest.
