The primary purpose of the Project Manager is to be responsible for management and control of major capital projects throughout the organization. Duties include:Technical management of the projectSite construction management of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical system installationProject estimating, implementation and supervisionPerform reporting and administrative functions to ensure correct billing and accounting practices are followedAssist in preparation of budgets and forecastingEnsure purchasing guidelines are followedEnsure excellent product quality and customer serviceEstablish and maintain strong customer relationsEnsure operational plan is executed on time and on costCompute cost factors and prepares estimates, bids and proposals used for management purposesSchedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlinesConfer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints or construction problemsEnsure contractors and project staff adheres to safety standards applicable for the construction siteResponsible for contract generation and negotiationsQualifications:BS Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferredAt least 10 (ten) years of experience managing major capital projects. At least 5 (five) years’ experience in cement industry specifically.Ability to Travel extensively - Travel expected to range between 50% and 75% of the time.Manager is expected to be on the project site when construction work is ongoing.Demonstrated performance in managing capital projects having values in excess of $25 million.Knowledgeable in engineering management, construction management, construction execution and cement plant operationsMicrosoft Office Products. AutoCAD. General computer proficiency.Good communication skills with peers and contractors.
