Job Summary
This position, reporting to the Cost Manager within the Program Planning and Control team, is pivotal for forecasting, controlling, and reporting project costs. The role requires an undergraduate degree and over 14 years of experience. The individual will develop project variances, analyze expenditures, and provide completion reports. They will review project costs by category, forecast future costs considering various factors, and manage the performance of multiple disciplines within the project controls function. This role involves leading managers or professional staff, contributing to project controls strategy, and potentially overseeing global processes in estimating, project risk control, cost control, and scheduling.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate submission of required deliverables, both internally to KBR and externally to the client.
Review project finances, including tracking project funding levels versus recognized revenue.
Provide input to management on financial forecasting, project-level cost reporting and forecasting, and labor and non-labor utilization and trends.
Develop and provide project variances, trending, and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports.
Review project costs incurred by category and calculate future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates, and risk analysis.
Manage the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to managers or professional staff.
Participate in the development of project controls strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures in estimating, project risk control, cost control, and scheduling.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related business discipline, or 14+ years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Experience with Cost Point, Cognos, OnBase, Deltek, and WorkDay or similar software and platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working on the LOGCAP Program.
