**1. Job Overview**
Additionally, the role works in a strong collaborative manner with Plant Technical teams, Engineering, Operations and Commercial. The role will also have direct participation in global R&D forums such as the Innostreams and Sustainability Internal/External Forums and will be responsible to help performing cost analysis to ensure the developments will be applicable to AFLA.
This role will span over the term listed below and will be critical in delivering a significant growth for Amcor Flexibles Latin America (AFLA).
**2. Job Dimensions**
- Travel is estimated between 20-60%, primarily to locations listed below.
- Work is to be managed through Amcor’s Stage Gate Process, project management templates and tools.
- This role reports to the R&D Director
**3. Principal Accountabilities**
**Key Responsibilities**
**External Interaction**:
- Represent the company’s technical voice to the customer in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate to understand customer needs and rapidly drive the design, development, and implementation of products and/or processes aligned to customer/market needs and business strategy, constructing an innovation pipeline with new and solid ideas.
- Visit customers and monitor the tests ensuring the quality data related to the project.
**Internal Project Work**:
- Monitor the progress of new packaging and experimental orders projects within the innovation pipeline, collaborating with areas such as Engineering, Operations and Quality to resolve technical challenges, supporting sustained solution ownership.
- Participate, create and lead cross functional teams within AFLA involved with the Projects focused on paper packaging.
- Define critical to quality (CTQ) specifications, author development technical specifications, waivers, etc.
- Lead Stage Gate programs while establishing core risk management principles and processes, developing mitigation plans within the cross functional teams.
- Conduct an analysis of the raw materials in aging associated with fiber packaging to reduce storage costs or losses from unused product.
- Lead cost take out programs in order to ensure that the development will be applicable to AFLA.
- Prepare presentations for customers and internal stakeholders understanding their needs, specifics, and expectations.
- Play an integral role in the global governance of fiber packaging solutions and collaborating with functional teams in AFLA, AFNA, Asia and EMEA.
- Participate in local teams, helping to solve quality and production issues.
- Assist in process improvement for fiber packaging solutions.
**Relationship management**
- Work with Global Project Teams to ensure AFLA is positioned well to secure the business for projects.
- Work in partnership with the global project team to ensure the that Global and AFLA strategies are aligned and are complementary and agree key deliverables/targets within the Project.
- Build key relationships across the AFLA, AFNA, EMEA functional teams to ensure effective problem management/resolution channels.
- Communicate Amcor’s key learning’s from process, system, and sales resolution to reduce customer dissatisfaction and churn.
**Team Management**
Participate, create, and lead cross functional teams within AFLA involved with the Project, developing team capabilities and ensuring collaboration across all the other functional teams, BU teams and local contacts
