What you will do The Principal Scientist, R&D Analytical is a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Research and Development (R&D) Analytical team.
This role is pivotal in driving analytical research projects that support the products within Kenvue's pipeline.
The successful candidate will lead a team of scientists, providing strategic direction and ensuring the highest quality standards in analytical methodologies and data analysis: Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage analytical research projects in R&D department f ocusing on chromatographic analysis, dissolution and other analytical techniques.
• Develop, optimize, validate and transfer analytical methods.
• Oversee test method transfer and stability studies focused on launching new products and support the Kenvue's product pipeline according to FDA and Health Canada Authorities • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive scientific advancements • Provide technical expertise in analytical instrumentation and data analysis • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation • Provide expert guidance to staff members on analytical test evaluations, analyses and other projects • Prepare and present research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor and train junior scientists and laboratory staff on technical skills and best practices.
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.
• Analyze complex data sets, interpret results, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Advanced level of English is required for this position (oral for active participation in global meetings and written communication).
What we are looking for Required Qualifications • Minimum BA/ BS in Chemistry or equivalent science (e.g.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry Engineering) with 8 years of proven working experience and great background in analytical methodologies related with analytical development, validation, transfer and stability studies in the pharmaceutical companies.
• Large experience leading successful scientific and research projects, moreover managing teams in a laboratory setting • Experience working in Analytical Chemistry supporting new product development and life cycle management projects in a consumer health or pharmaceutical environment • Strong knowledge in UPLC, HPLC, GC and dissolution to evaluate analytical test method development, validation, stability studies and optimization.
• Solid understanding of analytical and physical testing capabilities • Proficient in conducting and evaluating statistical analyses of analytical studies.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards related to analytical testing • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and strong technical writing skills Desired Qualifications • Experience working in analytical laboratory supporting new product development and life cycle management projects in a Consumer Health environment • Strong experience with Empower chromatography data system, using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN), and LIMS systems.
• Master's or PhD) in chemistry or a closely related field with a deep understanding of medicinal chemistry principles can be considered a differential • Intermediate or higher levels of Spanish can be considered a differential.
